This house is a black box from which a courtyard cut out. The courtyard has a louvered garage door that can be raised or lowered to provide privacy to either the up stairs or downstairs while still allowing light to come into the building. Designed to be both open and private the house uses simple techniques such as corner windows to allow light in with out letting people see through when the curtains are open.
